I didn't even notice there were two copies! I downloaded the first one if searching by date - 61 downloads and the songs are numbered and it is unrated. I used VBR ZIP for downloading and I am playing back on USB port on my car stereo.
This brief gap happens in other shows, too, not just this one. I also noticed it in a Danny Barnes show and a Scythian show. It must be me or my computer.

So are the gaps you're hearing between the songs, or are they dropouts during the songs themselves? You initially said that every few seconds, you get silence. I don't hear anything like that on the first few tracks, either during or after the track.

If you've got the VBR mp3s, my instinct is that it's a buffering issue on your computer, especially if it's happening on multiple shows.

I'm new to this and I now understand that what I am referring to is a dropout during the songs. I listened to the Packway Handle Band show again. The dropouts start in the 7th track.
I believe it is a buffering issue, also,as you suggest. What can I do to fix it?

Ok, now we're getting somewhere!

Think of this like going to the doctor - you wouldn't just say "it hurts"...you'd say where it hurts, how much, what you were doing when it happened, etc. :)

I just listened to track 7 all the way through and don't hear any dropouts. Do they always happen in the same place? Do they happen when you listen on your computer or just on your car stereo? Do you have another computer you can listen on just to see if it happens everywhere?

I listened to track 7 and track 12. I heard dropouts.

Just listened to track 12 as well...unfortunately I don't hear a single dropout. I listened to the in-page player (which streams the VBR mp3's), downloaded the zip file and listened to it there, and downloaded the individual mp3 files. Nothing, nothing, and nothing. I'm not sure what else I can do to help. :(

So it is probably the buffering causing problems. Isn't there a way to fix that on my computer?

Possibly, but without sitting at your computer it's practically impossible to figure out.

Thanks for all your help. At least I have the problem narrowed down.

They always happen in the same place. I haven't listened on my computer because I am at work in a cubicle and don't want to disturb others with noise. I'm going to try to play it low and see if I hear any dropouts right now. I'll let you know in a minute what happens.

Get this free and safe App. Then you can edit out any gaps that may be in the actual file/track
